Stabilità, mhux inċertezza

Baħar Ċimiterju 2024

25 għaqda lokali qed jagħmlu sejħa lill-awtoritajiet Maltin biex jipprevjenu aktar ksur tad-drittijiet tal-bniedem u mwiet fil-Baħar Mediterran.

Il-Baħar Mediterran jibqa’ wieħed mill-aktar spazju bejn il-fruntieri fatali fid-dinja. Għexieren ta’ eluf ta’ nies mietu jew sfaw nieqsa meta ppruvaw jaqsmu l-Mediterran. Mill-inqas 3,041(1)  persuna mietu fil-Baħar Mediterran fl-2023, li għamel din is-sena waħda mill-aktar fatali. Bi tħejjija għall-Ġubilew tas-Sena 2025 ‘Pelleġrini ta’ Tama’, is-sena 2024 ġiet magħżula bħala s-Sena ta’ Talb mill-Papa Franġisku.

The ‘Ejja Ejja’ Culture

Il‑Kummissjoni Ġustizzja u Paċi qed tipproponi tmien rakkomandazzjonijiet lill‑awtoritajiet u l‑partijiet kollha involuti fl‑industrija tal‑kostruzzjoni f’Malta sabiex dan il‑qasam ikun iktar sigur u ġust għall‑ħaddiema kollha. Il‑Kummissjoni qed tappella sabiex jittieħdu immedjatament azzjoni fuqhom għall‑ġid tal‑ħaddiem u tas‑soċjetà. Ir‑rakkomandazzjonijiet huma riżultat ta’ riċerka xjentifika li saret mill‑istess Kummissjoni dwar is‑saħħa u s‑sigurtà fl‑industrija tal‑kostruzzjoni f’Malta.

On 10 December 1948 the General Assembly of  the  United  Nations  adopted  the  Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Seventy-five years later Justice and Peace Europe wishes to underline the enduring importance of this document. The Universal Declaration, together with the encyclical letter Pacem in Terris, published 60 years ago, inspires us in our mission to promote human rights. Ġustizzja u Paċi Ewropa għandha kopresidenti ġodda

The General Assembly of Justice and Peace Europe elected for the first time in its history a co- presidency on Monday, 13 November in Malta. Archbishop Antoine Hérouard of Dijon and Maria Hammershoy from Copenhagen were elected for a period of three years by the approximately 50 delegates representing 20 European Justice and Peace commissions.
